Cycle tours in Dublin
The two big cycle tours in Dublin both take 2.5 hours and offer a bike or an e-bike. Pick the local-guide tour for the lowest price, from €30.
Cycle Dublin runs the other one, from Whitefriar Place. Its route also points out pubs and music venues. For more time and Kilmainham Gaol, pick the 3-hour Stories and Sights ride.
E-bike or regular bike?
Pick an e-bike if you want an easier ride. The local-guide tour gives you a full lesson on how to use one.
Either way, you need to ride well. Cycle Dublin asks that riders ride confidently and safely. The Stories and Sights tour asks that you are happy riding in city traffic and fairly fit.
Riding on your own
You can also rent a city bike. The dublinbikes site says the first 30 minutes of each ride are free, and 1-day and 3-day tickets exist. The site does not list their prices.
Not keen on city traffic? A Dublin city tour hop-on hop-off bus covers the same sights.
