The Blarney day tour takes 12 hours and visits three castles. You stop at the Rock of Cashel, the 12th-century seat of Irish kings, as the listing puts it. You also visit Cahir Castle and Blarney Castle with its gardens.

All three tickets are paid in advance, so you pay nothing at the gates. Lunch and drinks are not included. Bring snacks and an umbrella.

Cork day trips from Dublin: tour, train or car

For Blarney and Cashel in one day, the tour is the simplest way. The train goes to Cork city, not to Blarney. Trains leave Dublin Heuston for Cork Kent every hour from 06:00 to 17:00. The trip takes about 2 hours 28 to 2 hours 41.

From Cork, Blarney is a local bus ride away. Check the bus times before you go.

Jameson Distillery in Cork on the 3-day tour

The 3-day tour includes a tour and tasting at the Jameson distillery in Midleton, County Cork. No day trip on this page goes there. More trips with nights away are in our multi-day tours from Dublin.

To see Blarney and the Rock of Cashel on your own in one day, you need a car.
