The Gravedigger ghost bus tour
The Gravedigger Ghost Bus is the most theatrical tour here. Actors tell stories of plague and body snatchers, with sound and motion effects on the bus.
You also walk the grounds of St Audoen's and Bully's Acre. Then you stop at the Gravediggers pub, which the listing calls one of Dublin's oldest, for one themed shot. Pints are extra, and the tour does not go into the cemetery.
Ghost tours in Dublin: bus or walk?
Take a bus for a show, and a walk for the history. The buses use actors or a storyteller. The walks use a guide and go down old lanes on foot.
The walks are cheaper, from €14 to €24 in English. The buses cost from €35.
The ghost buses are tours, not transport. To get around by day, a hop-on hop off Dublin bus is the one to use.
Haunted Dublin walking tours
The best haunted walk for most people is the Dark walking tour from Temple Bar. It covers Bram Stoker's Dublin, old crimes and grave robbing.
For darker history, pick the Torture, Murder and Mystery walk. On a budget, pick Legends, Ghosts and Ghouls, from €14. French speakers have their own walk from St Stephen's Green.
