Party crawl or traditional pub tour?
Pick a party crawl for a big night out, and a pub tour for history and music. The Generation listing says plainly that it is not a history tour.
The crawls start near Temple Bar: Dame Lane and Dame Street. The pub walks start at the Spire on O'Connell Street, in Smithfield, or near the Smithfield chimney.
The Generation pub crawl
The Generation Pub Crawl is a 5-hour party across 5 venues, from €14. You get a free Guinness, free shots and drink deals. The night ends with free entry to a late nightclub.
You must be 19 or over and bring ID. Shorts and sportswear are not allowed. On busy nights the group splits into smaller groups at the start.
Pub tours with live Irish music
For real trad music, take the tour led by a local musician. You visit three live sessions in three pubs, with a small drink at each. Seats are not reserved, and pubs can be crowded.
The City Pub Crawl also has live Irish music, but it is a party. The craft beer walk may include an informal session.
What is included
Check the drinks before you book: they differ a lot. The craft beer walk includes six samples. The music tour includes three small drinks. The party crawls include one drink and free shots.
On the Smithfield walk, no drinks are included. The listing says the average total is about €25.
A brewery tour
Rascals in Inchicore shows you how a modern craft brewery works in 45 minutes. Four beers are included.

No shorts or sportswear on the Generation crawl. No fancy dress on the City Pub Crawl.
Free cancellation
All six can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours before. Check the cut-off on the booking page.
